ABOUT
Mari S. Truman M.S. P.E. founded OrthoBioMech LLC in 2003, where she assists clients in orthopaedic product development, injury biomechanical analyses, and medical device forensic expert reviews. She has been active in the biomechanics field since 1980 when she received her BS in Biomedical Engineering from the Catholic University of America. More recently, she earned her MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. She has designed and developed systems to repair fractured bones and torn ligaments and to reconstruct spine, knee, hip, and other joints. She is named on 12 orthopaedic patents and gives talks on implant design and injury biomechanics.
